What Does It Mean To Become A Member of CYLP?

Members of the Canadian Youth Letters Project are our team that makes everything we do possible! Members will hold the responsibility of providing written political articles that are displayed in our newsletter and social medias. Members must also be passionate enough about politics to hold the capability of writing letters to the government every month.

Once a member of the CYLP the individual will be given a position of their choosing whether it be on the social media influencing team, writing for the newsletter, writing for the letters, controlling our website, designing, or a mix of everything. If the said individual comes up with any ideas for the project that will serve well in marketing and promotion as well as political influencing, that individual might even be put in charge of their idea's group.

Each member is required to actively participate in writing although we are very flexible with school and work hours as well as family emergencies or issues. We understand that being a teenager is a difficult time and if one must step away, their spot will be waiting for them when they return. Each member must also participate in our fundraisers, although we are understanding if one cannot make specific ones.

The Canadian Youth Letters Project is a safe project filled with understanding members that will support you and your choices. This is a place where you can be fully self-expressed no matter your race, religion, gender identification or sexual/romantic orientation. You will be accepted and welcomed by each and every member of our team because it is our goal to not only engage youth in politics, but to provide them with a safe platform to give them a voice to speak for what matters most to them.

We thank you in advance for your interest in becoming a member of the Canadian Youth Letters Project.
